COMMERCIAL CERTIFICATE CORECONCEPTS LEVEL 100 SERIES
Commercial Certificate Program (CCP) is designed to bring together a faculty of industry leaders and top producers to teach the fundamentals of commercial real estate.  Eight courses are offered over four weeks, two courses per day, one full day per week, allowing students to concurrently attend to business while learning.  A Certificate of Completion is awarded to students who attend at least seven of the eight classes.

ETHICS WILL BE DUE AGAIN ON DECEMBER 31, 2008!
All REALTOR® members of CRCBR must take an Ethics Class before December 31, 2008.  If you have taken a class between January 1, 2005 until now, you are exempt from taking the class.  However, if you last took the Ethics class in 2004 or earlier, you MUST take an Ethics class to continue membership.  Anyone who has taken an Ethics Class not sponsored by CRCBR must fax, email, or mail a copy of their Certificate of Completion to Emily Crespo.  If you are a broker-in-charge who needs to take the class, you have the option of taking the class online, in order to prevent attending a third class during the licensing year.  For online instruction, please Click Here.  If you have any questions about the Ethics requirement, please email Emily at emily@crcbr.org.

CRCBR has a fast, easy, and affordable way for you to keep up with your continuing education requirements, and to stay abreast of what's going on within commercial real estate.  It's called the Gold Passport and it's your ticket to incredible value and outstanding education!

Benefits
Gold Passport takes $20 off the already discounted member price for two CE courses.  You can use your Gold Passport anytime between the time you purchase it and December 31, 2008.  Pay no rescheduling fees if CRCBR is notified by 12:00 pm the business day prior to the class date.  Pay for your continuing education once, and schedule classes at your convenience.  Gold Passport entitles you to eight hours of continuing education credits.  Please Note:  Gold Passport holders cannot register online for classes.  All registrations must be done via fax or mailed in.

• The Gold Passport is available to REALTOR® members only.
• Passport valid from the date of purchase through December 31, 2008.  (Please note that Gold Passport is based on the calendar year, not the Real Estate Commission license year.)

ONLINE EDUCATION

Online Ethics Training
There are two online ethics training courses available on www.REALTOR.org.  Each course meets the specific criteria and learning objectives required for either new REALTORS® or existing REALTORS® as established in the Statements of Professional Standards Policy #47 - New Member Orientation Program, and #48 - Quadrennial REALTOR® Ethics Training found in the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.  These courses do not count as an elective for your license.

Everest Capital Advisors - Robert Lore
Everest Capital Advisors was finally launched in January as the only replacement property provider for Investor and 1031 Exchange-related transactions.  Robert Lore will be the acting Managing Director for the Charlotte office which represents clients in the Southeast.  Everest Capital Advisors also works closely with brokers in order to identify non-listed properties on a pre-arranged referral basis.

Flagship Capital Partners, LLC has acquired three fully leased medical office buildings in Rock Hill, SC directly across Herlong Avenue from Piedmont Medical Center, at a total 42,200 square feet.  Mr. James E. Rogers, Senior Vice President, represented Flagship Capital Partners in the investment acquisition.  The three medical office buildings were acquired from Piedmont Development Associates and were represented by Mr. Jason Tuttle of Coldwell Banker The Tuttle Co.

Are you aware of your benefits as a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS®?

At the National and State Level:
As a REALTOR® member, you are a part of two larger umbrella organizations, the North or South Carolina Associations of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.  Each organization offers Legislative representation at each level of government.  Both the state and national organizations have formed alliances with a variety of vendors in order to provide you with discounts in services you utilize most in your daily work.

At the Local Level:
Networking Opportunities and Events:

CRCBR members receive entrance to a number of networking events throughout the course of the year at a discounted member rate.  We understand that relationships are key in the industry, and hope to supply you with the ability to build relationships between other members and non member organizations in as many different environments as possible.  One such event, our quarterly BrokerNet (formerly known as ProNet), now a members only event, is an informal way of networking with both REALTOR® members in the organization and Corporate Associates.  The Deal Makers Awards highlights the achievements of our REALTOR® members by celebrating the deals made in the previous year.  Other events that assist in networking are the three RE Marketplace Events, the Commercial Spotlight, the Golf Tournament, the Bus Tour, and the Annual Meeting.  Each event provides focus on various aspects of the Commercial Real Estate Industry, and keeps you up to date as changes emerge that might affect you.  As scheduled, our events can be found on the CRCBR website at www.crcbr.org.

Education:
Education is required for all licensed practitioners in North and South Carolina.  CRCBR strives to assist you with fulfilling your Real Estate Commission requirements by providing you with your Continuing Education (CE) requirements in schedules that we hope won't cut into your extremely busy schedule.  We offer the Mandatory Update course, the Broker-in-Charge course, and other electives designed to provide you with up-to-date information from very experienced instructors.  Our courses have a commercial spin to them.  Furthermore, for those interested in learning more about Commercial Real Estate, the Commercial Certificate Program CoreConcepts Level 100 and 200 Series classes are a fantastic reservoir of information, taught by REALTORS® with firsthand experience in each of the specialties.  We have already begun the CCP program for this year, but you do have the ability to sign up for any of the remainder classes for the year.  All CE and CCP courses can be found on the CRCBR website at www.crcbr.org.

Key Industry Information:
Knowledge is key, and CRCBR tries to make all information available in the local, regional, state, and national levels that affect your industry, through various email broadcasts, the bi-monthly newsletter, and information shown on our webpage.  If you are currently not receiving email broadcasts and are a member of CRCBR, please email info@crcbr.org and we will ensure receipt of future mailings.

This training is for current subscribers to the system.  In order to sign up for training, please sign into www.charlottecpe.com, and click 'Sign up now for a training session' from the main page.  Classes are free, but pre-registration is required.  A confirmation email will be sent to your attention 2 days before the course.  Thank you for your continued support of CRCPE!
