NAIOP 2008 TOWN HALL LUNCHEON & REAL ESTATE FORUM
NAIOP Charlotte invites CRCBR members to join them for their Town Hall and RE Forum Luncheon on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. This is a comprehensive follow up from last year's Town Hall Forum, discussing the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Building Permitting process. Come hear the changes, updates and additions the City and County have made based on our comments! NAIOP and the Charlotte Chamber have joined together to present this follow up presentation.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

CCP  |  Spring Education    Ethics  |  Gold Passport

COMMERCIAL CERTIFICATE CORECONCEPTS LEVEL 100 SERIES
Commercial Certificate Program (CCP) is designed to bring together a faculty of industry leaders and top producers to teach the fundamentals of commercial real estate.  Eight courses are offered over four weeks, two courses per day, one full day per week, allowing students to concurrently attend to business while learning.  A Certificate of Completion is awarded to students who attend at least seven of the eight classes.

Industrial Real Estate - (CE Approved)

This class takes the participant through the development process for a warehouse facility.  It starts with "Where tenants come from...;" goes into an interactive discussion regarding land acquisition, a brief finance overview, construction and lease-up; and concludes with disposition strategies.

ETHICS WILL BE DUE AGAIN ON DECEMBER 31, 2008!
All REALTOR® members of CRCBR must take an Ethics Class before December 31, 2008.  If you have taken a class between January 1, 2005 until now, you are exempt from taking the class.  However, if you last took the Ethics class in 2004 or earlier, you MUST take an Ethics class to continue membership.  Anyone who has taken an Ethics Class not sponsored by CRCBR must fax, email, or mail a copy of their Certificate of Completion to Emily Crespo.  If you are a broker-in-charge who needs to take the class, you have the option of taking the class online, in order to prevent attending a third class during the licensing year.  For online instruction, please Click Here.  If you have any questions about the Ethics requirement, please email Emily at emily@crcbr.org.

GOLD PASSPORT
CRCBR has a fast, easy, and affordable way for you to keep up with your continuing education requirements, and to stay abreast of what's going on within commercial real estate.  It's called the Gold Passport and it's your ticket to incredible value and outstanding education!

Benefits
Gold Passport takes $20 off the already discounted member price for two CE courses.  You can use your Gold Passport anytime between the time you purchase it and December 31, 2008.  Pay no rescheduling fees if CRCBR is notified by 12:00 pm the business day prior to the class date.  Pay for your continuing education once, and schedule classes at your convenience.  Gold Passport entitles you to eight hours of continuing education credits.  Please Note:  Gold Passport holders cannot register online for classes.  All registrations must be done via fax or mailed in.

Gold Passport Policies & Restrictions
• The Gold Passport is available to REALTOR® members only.
• Passport valid from the date of purchase through December 31, 2008.  (Please note that Gold Passport is based on the calendar year, not the Real Estate Commission license year.) 
• Passport not valid for the Commercial Certificate Program (CCP) CoreConcepts Level 100 Series or CoreConcepts Level 200 Series. 
• Passport not valid for CRCBR on-line continuing educations classes.

ONLINE EDUCATION

Online Ethics Training
There are two online ethics training courses available on www.REALTOR.org.  Each course meets the specific criteria and learning objectives required for either new REALTORS® or existing REALTORS® as established in the Statements of Professional Standards Policy #47 - New Member Orientation Program, and #48 - Quadrennial REALTOR® Ethics Training found in the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.  These courses do not count as an elective for your license.

Everest Capital Advisors - Robert Lore
Everest Capital Advisors was finally launched in January as the only replacement property provider for Investor and 1031 Exchange-related transactions.  Robert Lore will be the acting Managing Director for the Charlotte office which represents clients in the Southeast.  Everest Capital Advisors also works closely with brokers in order to identify non-listed properties on a pre-arranged referral basis.

Training for CPE will be held on the following dates at the CRCBR offices from 2pm - 4pm:
