ETHICS WILL BE DUE AGAIN ON DECEMBER 31, 2008!
To satisfy NAR requirements, all REALTOR® members of CRCBR must take an
ethics class before December 31, 2008. If you have taken an
ethics class since January 1, 2005, you are exempt from taking the class. However, if you last took the
ethics class in 2004 or earlier, you MUST take an ethics class to continue CRCBR membership.
Anyone who has taken an
ethics class not sponsored by CRCBR must fax, email, or mail a copy of their Certificate of Completion to Emily Crespo.

The 2008-9 BICAR will cover distressed sellers,
short sales and foreclosures. Lending laws, loan fraud and Broker-In-Charge
requirements will also be discussed. The BICAR Course is a mandatory elective
for all brokers-in-charge who wish to remain a broker-in-charge as of July 1,
2009 for the 2009-2010 licensing period. Only licensees who are
brokers-in-charge or who are broker-in-charge eligible will receive continuing
education credit for this course.

ETHICS |

ETHICS IS DUE ON DECEMBER 31, 2008!
To satisfy NAR requirements, all REALTOR® members of CRCBR must take
an ethics class before December 31, 2008. If you have taken an

ONLINE ETHICS TRAINING
There are two online ethics training courses available on
www.REALTOR.org. Each course meets
the specific criteria and learning objectives required for either new
REALTORS® or existing REALTORS® as established in the Statements of
Professional Standards Policy #47 - New Member Orientation Program, and
#48 - Quadrennial REALTOR® Ethics Training found in the NAR
Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.
These courses
are not CE approved and do not
count as an elective for your license.

RLI Education and the ALC Designation
The Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation is the esteemed credential
of the REALTORS® Land Institute. The designation is attained only by those
land specialists who demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge,
experience, and professionalism. To learn more about the ALC
designation, click here.
To achieve the ALC designation, land sales experts must complete a rigorous
educational program and fulfill extensive experience requirements.
The North Carolina Chapter of the REALTOR Land Institute (NCRLI) has four
classes coming up. Each of these classes would help
your move towards earning an ALC designation or could simply help by
providing them with an education experience that deals in land.

This 2-day REALTORS Land Institute (RLI) Land University course introduces
participants to the land development specialty. As a result of taking this

details of the work being performed for projects that do not
require a Building permit, pay the permit fee and print the
permits. After you sign into your Contractor account, select

Message from NAR
President Concerning the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act
Richard F. Gaylord, CIPS, CRB, CRS, GRI
Dear Fellow REALTOR®:
On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives joined the Senate in
passing the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. President Bush
already has signed the bill into law.
I have heard from many REALTORS® during the past week. The vote on the
bill reflects how many of you feel - torn. We realize this bill is not
perfect. However, we believe the additions made by the Senate, including
raising the FDIC insurance limit and several other measures that will
benefit and protect taxpayers, make it a more favorable solution than
the previous proposal. More importantly, failure to act would have
pushed consumers into more dire circumstances. I want to thank all of
you who supported this effort, despite reasonable concerns.
I want to assure all of you that NAR will continue to work with Congress
and the Administration to make sure the measures included in this bill
are implemented quickly, with the needs of Main Street placed front and
center.
NAR will continue to provide you with updates and information at
www.realtor.org/creditcrisis. I encourage you to visit often, and I
thank you for working "All Together" to help preserve the American
Dream.
