Annual Legislative Day
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Raleigh, NC
Annually, the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® (NCAR) hosts
a Legislative Day, where REALTOR® members from all across the state
have the ability to meet local legislators in Raleigh to discuss
issues and matters most important to the real estate industry.
This year's Legislative Day will be held on April 22nd. We invite
you take time out of your busy schedule to join us for this very
important industry event!
About Legislative Day
Legislative Day is a means to remind the North Carolina Association
of REALTORS®, as well as the legislators in Raleigh, that
commercial brokers are affected by issues in the legislative realm.
We hope to send as many representatives to this event as possible.
Legislative Day Schedule
8:00am - 10:00am -- Travel to Raleigh
10:00am - 11:00am -- Check in and Legislative Rally
11:00am - 12:30pm -- Meetings with Legislators
12:30pm - 1:30pm -- Lunch
1:30pm
-- Depart for Charlotte
Members arrive at the Legislative Rally and then walk around the
Legislative offices in order to communicate with Charlotte
Legislators. This year, the Charlotte Region REALTOR® Association (CRRA)
is organizing a meeting from 11:00am - 12:30pm for all Charlotte
brokers, where Charlotte region legislators will assemble at
Legislative Hall (CRCBR members are invited to attend).
After the meeting, members will then go to the offices of the
legislators that did not attend this previous meeting.
Legislative Visit Assistance
Those who attend will not be sent without assistance! Members of
REBIC, as well as other knowledgeable leaders, will assist you in
walking through the Legislative halls. Attending members will also
receive a brief synopsis of those issues currently affecting
brokers, as well as reasons and bullet points to assist in the
discussion.
Sign Up Today!
If you are interested in attending this day, or have further
questions about this event, please contact Emily Crespo at
emily@crcbr.org.
Note: CRCBR staff will work to procure
transportation or coordinate a car pool for those who attend.
